Plumbing Work Completed

- Removed and disposed of six existing gravity-flush tank toilets
- Furnished and installed six commercial-grade flush-assist high-pressure toilets
- Installed new wax seals, closet bolts, water supply connectors, and standard fittings
- Inspected the existing closet flanges and water supply stops
- Reconnected the new toilets to the existing plumbing system
- Made minor adjustments as needed for proper installation
- Restored water service and verified proper toilet operation
- Performed flush performance checks and leak checks at all connections
- Cleaned up the work area and hauled away the existing toilets for proper disposal
This project combined drain and sewer service with targeted bathroom plumbing improvements. Instead of opening the slab right away, the goal was to improve how waste moved through the existing line by upgrading the toilets serving the space.
Final Result
The final result was a full toilet upgrade across the commercial restrooms, replacing six standard gravity-flush toilets with pressure-assisted units designed for stronger flushing performance.
While no plumbing upgrade can guarantee that a sewer line will never clog again, this approach gave the customer a practical first step before committing to a much larger and more disruptive concrete-cutting sewer line replacement. It also allowed the customer to address the recurring blockage issue while keeping the existing sewer line in place.
Projects like this show why proper diagnosis matters. Sometimes the best solution is not automatically the most invasive one. By inspecting the sewer line first, Tidewater Plumbing Co. was able to recommend a cleaner, more targeted approach based on the actual condition of the system.
