ADA Bathroom Trim-Out for HOA Building in Chapel Hill, NC

Tidewater Plumbing Co. recently returned to an HOA building in Chapel Hill, NC to complete the trim-out phase of an ADA bathroom update. Earlier in the project, our team completed the rough-in work by relocating the toilet and rerouting the sink plumbing for the updated layout. Once the room was ready for final fixtures, we came back to install the sink, toilet, trap wrap, shroud, and a new cleanout cover to help bring the space across the finish line.

Completing the Final Phase of the ADA Bathroom Project

This project started with the plumbing rough-in for an ADA-focused bathroom renovation inside an HOA building. The earlier phase involved setting the plumbing locations so the bathroom layout could support the updated design.

For the trim-out phase, the room was ready for final fixture installation. This is the stage where the rough plumbing work behind the walls and below the fixtures starts to become a finished, functional bathroom.

It is always great to see these projects come together. After the rough-in, construction work, finishes, and fixture installation, the space finally starts to feel like the room it was designed to become.

Plumbing Work Completed

As part of this construction and renovation plumbing project, Tidewater Plumbing Co. returned to complete the final plumbing trim-out.

Our team completed the following work:

  • Installed the bathroom sink
  • Installed the proper trap wrap and shroud below the sink
  • Installed the toilet
  • Installed a new cleanout cover
  • Completed the final plumbing connections for the updated bathroom layout

The sink installation included the trap wrap and shroud needed for the exposed plumbing below the lavatory. These finishing details matter in ADA bathroom projects because the plumbing below the sink needs to be protected, finished cleanly, and suitable for the space.

The toilet installation completed the primary fixture setup for the room, while the new cleanout cover provided a cleaner finished look and maintained access where needed.

This trim-out phase also connects directly to the earlier ADA bathroom rough-in completed for the Chapel Hill HOA building, where Tidewater relocated the toilet and rerouted the sink plumbing before the room was ready for final fixtures.

Final Result

The final result is a completed ADA bathroom trim-out with the sink, toilet, trap wrap, shroud, and cleanout cover installed. The rough-in work is now finished out, the fixtures are in place, and the bathroom is ready for use.

Projects like this show why it helps to have a plumbing partner involved from rough-in through trim-out. The early layout work sets the foundation, and the final trim-out brings the room to life.

For HOA buildings, commercial spaces, and renovation projects, Tidewater Plumbing Co. can help coordinate the plumbing work across multiple phases so the finished space is functional, clean, and ready for the people who use it.
