Tidewater Plumbing Co. recently completed the rough-in phase for a renovation project in Goldsboro, NC. This project includes plumbing updates throughout the home, with work planned for the kitchen, two full bathrooms, laundry room, sewer main, and accompanying water lines. The photos from this phase show the behind-the-scenes plumbing work that happens before the finishes go in and the room starts to come together.
Preparing the Home for Updated Plumbing
Renovation plumbing is not always the most glamorous part of a project, but it is one of the most important.
Before fixtures, flooring, cabinets, and finishes are installed, the plumbing rough-in has to be properly laid out and prepared for the finished space. This is especially important on a larger renovation where multiple areas of the home are being updated at the same time.
For this Goldsboro project, Tidewater Plumbing Co. was brought in to support the plumbing side of the renovation, including kitchen plumbing, bathroom plumbing, laundry room plumbing, and main line updates. The current phase focused on getting the rough-in work completed so the project can keep moving toward trim-out later.
Plumbing Work Completed
As part of this construction and renovation plumbing project, our team completed the rough-in work needed to support the updated layout.
The overall project scope includes:
- Kitchen sink repipe and plumbing layout for future sink, faucet, and dishwasher connections
- Two full bathroom installations, each including a tub/shower combo with valve, toilet, and vanity connections
- Laundry room plumbing with a new washing machine box, hot and cold supply lines, drain connection, and accompanying Studor vent box
- Replacement of the 4-inch sewer main as agreed upon
- Accompanying water line updates as part of the renovation
- Job-related cleanup and debris removal
The total fixture layout includes two toilets, two vanities, one kitchen sink with dishwasher connection, and one washing machine box.
This phase focused on the rough-in, meaning the plumbing lines and fixture locations were prepared before the final fixtures are installed. We have not completed the trim-out yet, but the project is now set up for the next stages of the renovation.
Because this job also includes sewer main work, it connects closely with our drain and sewer services in addition to the broader renovation plumbing scope.
Final Result
The rough-in phase is complete, and the plumbing is now in place for the next stage of the renovation. Once the surrounding construction work is ready, Tidewater Plumbing Co. will return for the trim-out phase to install and connect the final fixtures.
Projects like this are always cool to see come together because so much of the important work happens behind the scenes. The rough-in may eventually be covered by walls, flooring, cabinets, and finishes, but it is what allows the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, and drainage system to function properly once the home is complete.
