Tidewater Plumbing Co. recently helped a customer in Raleigh, NC with a leaking freestanding bathtub that had seeped into the subfloor. Before the flooring and subfloor repairs could be completed, the tub needed to be pulled and the plumbing disconnected so the area could fully dry out and be properly repaired.
For this project, our team removed the freestanding tub, disconnected the plumbing, and helped create the access needed for the customer to move forward with drying out the space and replacing the damaged subfloor. Once the repair work was complete and the area was ready, Tidewater returned to reset the tub and reconnect the plumbing.
The result was a properly reset freestanding tub with the plumbing reconnected and the bathroom back up and running. Water leaks around tubs can create bigger issues when they reach the floor system, so it is important to address them early and make sure the plumbing is reconnected correctly after repairs are complete.
